Among the topics that will be covered are: future event planning, A&S workshop topics you would like to see coming up, and future meeting sites for the coming winter for both meetings and fighter practices. This is your Shire; please come and have a say in what you want to see happen for our group.

SPECIAL ELECTION – SENESCHAL During our August, 2022 business meeting, Lady Aoife announced her intent to step down from the role as Seneschal prior to the official end of her current term.
–A call for candidates was published and Baroness Laurena Mouchot has stepped forward as candidate to serve as Seneschal for the remainder of the term which runs through mid-February, 2024.
–Now, the Shire will hold a Special Election for the position of Seneschal only during this business meeting. While officer elections generally occur during business meetings via closed ballot, due to current circumstances, an electronic voting mechanism has been created on our Facebook Group (a brief resume of the candidate is included).
–Submit your electronic vote by the start of the meeting on October 9 for your vote to be counted. The election has closed. You may need to log into your Google account to vote.
—Paper ballots will be available at the meeting on Sunday if you would prefer to vote by closed ballot.
Pursuant to our Bylaws, the winner will be that candidate who receives a simple majority of the votes cast. Should the Populace vote to reject all of the candidates for a position, and that position is required by East Kingdom Law or Corpora, the process of holding a new election will begin immediately. In the interim, the Seneschal will make provisions for the performance of any duties of the office required.

CALL FOR CANDIDATES for OFFICE OF SENESCHAL Lady Aoife has announced she is stepping down from the position of Seneschal and as such we are seeking candidates for the position which will become vacant prior to the end of the current term. We are now accepting letters of intent from anyone interested in running for the position.
If interested, please send a letter with your mundane name, SCA member #, SCA name (if applicable), and a brief statement of why you would like to serve as Seneschal to Seneschal@caer-adamant.eastkingdom.org. Applicants must be 18 years old or older, a paid member of the SCA, and live within the borders of Caer Adamant (Delaware).

As Baroness Mari has recently stepped forward with an interest in serving as A&S Minister for Shire, Lady Nancy will be resigning from the office and we will hold a Special Election for the position.
We are now accepting Letters of Intent for the office of A&S Minister with the intent of calling a vote at our July, 2022 Shire Business Meeting. If interested in running for this position, please notify our Seneschal by July 1 of your intention so it can be announced.
