String Thynge, a Schola of All Things String – January 13, 2018

Unto Caer Adamanteans, and friends of Caer Adamant, greetings!

We are honored to be able to host TRM Ivan and Matilde on 13 January 2018 for String Thynge, a Schola of All Things String, at the First Unitarian Church in Wilmington.
Class tracks might include: embroidery, spinning/weaving, other “yarn/thread” (naalbinding, Lucet, fingerlooping, etc…), metal thread and jewelry, and others.

To pull this off, we need volunteers, and more volunteers. Baroness Mari Clock van Hoorne will be coordinating classes (contact her if you wish to teach a class – or two), and we have a dayboard head in the works. I believe we have a Royalty Liaison as well.

Beyond those positions, we have lots of opportunities for our Shire members and friends. If you have an interest in a particular area, but have no experience, fear not! We can probably hook you up with a mentor. Experienced volunteers are encouraged to take a newcomer under their wing so that we can continue to expand our opportunities.
Areas of need: set-up, take-down/clean-up, pre-reg, Gate/check-in/Troll coordinator and volunteers, kitchen help, hospitality coordinator and volunteers, merchant coordinator, site book/handout, site tokens, hall steward (decorate and organize main public areas), outdoor signage and parking, and anything else I might have missed.
If anyone is interested in being a co-event steward/co-autocrat, please ask! This is a perfect opportunity to see what goes into running an event.
Please let me know what position(s) is/are of interest. Don’t be shy! Message!
Thank you!
In service,
~ Hedewigis.
